Whether you're a full-time student, a teacher or a youth between the ages of 12 and 25, there are thousands of different types of identification out there. Only one is internationally recognized as proof of your student, teacher or youth status. These cards give you access to countless discounts and services around the world!!

International Student Identity Cards
The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is the essential travel card designed especially for students. Since it was first introduced in 1968 by the International Student Travel Confederation, more than 40 million students around the world have enjoyed the benefits of an ISIC. You'll save hundreds of dollars on travel, accommodation, sports rentals, and admissions to museums and cultural attractions. The ISIC World Travel Handbook, available free with an ISIC, provides discount information on more than 90 countries.

Eligibility:
Full-time students attending a secondary or post-secondary institution. You must be a resident of Canada and at least 12 years old to apply.

To obtain an ISIC you will need to provide:

A completed ISIC application.
A passport size photo of yourself.
Proof of full-time student status as defined by your educational institution.
   A photocopy of your student card (with picture) clearly indicating full
time student status for the current school year and a photocopy of another picture ID (i.e. driver's license); OR
   A letter from your school registrar bearing the seal of the institution and confirming full-time student status for the current school year and a photocopy of another picture ID (i.e. driver's license); OR
   A signed and sealed School Declaration as outlined on the ISIC application and a photocopy of another picture ID (i.e. driver's license).
$20 plus an additional $1.50 for postage and handling if ordering by mail. Students attending a CFS member school are entitled to a free ISIC.

International Youth Travel Card
The International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) is the essential travel card designed especially for youth who are under the age of 26 and are not full-time students. Since the card's establishment in 1975, over 300,000 youth a year have benefited from IYTC's great savings.

The IYTC offers hundreds of dollars in savings on travel, accommodation, sports rentals, and admissions to museums and cultural attractions. Simply flash your card when traveling and you'll receive these special discounts.

Eligibility:
Those who are not full-time students, but who are under the age of 26. You must be a resident of Canada to apply.

Where Do I Get an IYTC?
It's easy! IYTCs are available at all Travel CUTS offices.
To obtain an IYTC you will need to provide:
A completed IYTC application.
A passport size photo of yourself.
Proof of your age:
   A photocopy of your passport; OR
   A photocopy of your birth certificate; OR
   A photocopy of a government-issued picture ID (i.e. driver's license).
$20 plus an additional $1.50 for postage and handling if ordering by mail.

International Teacher Identity Card
The International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC) is the essential travel card designed specifically for teachers and professors. Since the card's introduction by the International Student Travel Confederation in 1984, ITIC has quickly grown to become the most widely accepted proof of teaching status worldwide.

The ITIC offers teachers and professors hundreds of dollars in savings on travel, accommodation, sports rentals, and admissions to museums and cultural attractions. Simply flash your card when traveling and you'll receive these special discounts.

Eligibility:
All bona fide teachers, professors, and instructors working at a recognized educational institution as a full-time teaching staff (as defined by your institution) for a minimum of 18 hours per week and for a minimum of one academic year.

Where Do I Get an ITIC?

It's easy! ITIC's are available at all Travel CUTS offices.

To obtain an ITIC you will need to provide:
A completed ITIC application.

A passport size photo of yourself.
Proof of full-time teaching status, as defined by your institution.
   A photocopy of your staff card (with picture) clearly indicating teacher status and year of validity; OR
   A letter from your school bearing the seal of the institution and confirming full-time teacher status plus
a photocopy of another picture ID (i.e. driver's license).
$20 plus an additional $1.50 for postage and handling if ordering by mail.
